The Incredibles 2

The second movie I saw today on our double feature marathon. "The Incredibles" has been said to be the most perfect superhero movie of all time. The real question is can the second film hold up to the original? The obvious question for every sequel honestly. Was it any good, or was a super let down? Lets find out:

The Incredibles 2- I remember racing out to get a copy of this film on DVD as soon as it came out. I truly enjoyed the film. Then for some odd reason, it took Pixar and Disney 14 years later to come out with a sequel. I mean, this animated family feels like a Fantastic Four movie done right. It goes further than just get the bad guys its the family demographics as well.

Plot- It takes place literally from the 1st movie with our heroes trying to stop the villain The Underminer. Supers are still outlawed by the government, and the battle with The Underminer solidified it. Our super parents not knowing what to do to support their family is approached by an entrepreneur, Winston Deavor and his sister, Evelyn. They want to bring supers back in a positive light, hopefully removing the law. Elasticgirl goes into action while Mr. Incredible stays home with the family, by the requests of Winston.

This movie really has some moments that hit home with regards to the family functions. It was cool seeing Elasticgirl being the focus of a hero this time. When there weren't any action sequences I found myself laughing from the characters interactions with each other. This movie was really good, and i recommend seeing this with the family. You even get to see some supers fighting against each other.

Final Verdict- 7/10, a great feel-good animated movie for all ages.

Another movie reviewed and more to come. This is Phil Goes to the Movies, so you don't have to!
